Taste of Kansas City 2010
Welcome to the very first post of What You’re Missing KC! I am so glad you are here! Since this is a blog about food in KC I couldn’t think of anything better to start with.
I know many of you may already be familiar with this, but can I tell you how excited I am for this? Way excited!!!! I had heard of this event before and finally was able to go for the first time last year, and I will never miss it again. If you have never been you are in for a treat and must check it out. The event is at the Power and Light District, which will have its own post in the near future. But more about that another time. Back to the “Taste.” Imagine an area filled with some of Kansas City’s best restaurants giving out samples of some of their signature dishes and drinks….it is truly a food lovers dream. In addition to 20+ area restaurants dishing out fabulous cuisine and cocktails there will be a head to head Iron Chef type competition featuring some great local chefs. The winner will receive the prestigious Golden Fork!
The event will be held May 16th starting at 5 pm and is a benefit for Big Brothers/Big Sisters of Greater Kansas City. Tickets are available from the Pitch and at the door of the event IF it does not sell out. The event is limited to 1,300 guests.
