Farm to Market Bread Co. Celebrates 20 Years in Kansas City

Releases Limited Edition Sunny Black and Brown Bread, September 13 – 22


KANSAS CITY, Mo. (August 21, 2013) – Recently moving it’s bakery to the Crossroads District, Farm to Market Bread Co. celebrates a milestone of 20 years in Kansas City this September.  After two decades of baking and delivering fresh artisan breads across the city to local markets, grocers, restaurants and retailers, founder and CEO Mark Friend is bringing back the in-demand, Sunny Black and Brown specialty bread for a limited time. Only available during their anniversary week, the Sunny Black and Brown will be offered in select grocery stores.


“Farm to Market is grateful to have shared bread with the Kansas City community over the past twenty years,” said Mark Friend, CEO. “We take pride in our bread and also in the people who make up our Kansas City Family.”


After an eight year hiatus, the Sunny Black and Brown loaves will return with Farm to Market’s original recipe focused on the key ingredients that make up it’s name: sunflower seeds, black beans and brown rice. The hearty bread is baked with all-natural ingredients and can be enjoyed freshly sliced or toasted or to compliment any sandwich.
