If you have not heard of Door to Door Organics you are missing out! What a treat!

I had heard of Door to Door Organics before but thought it would be too expensive and something I would not be interested in, boy was I wrong! The amazing staff over at Door to Door sent me a gift certificate to try them out and now I am hooked.

Door to Door Organics is wanting you to try them out too and is offering one lucky reader here on my blog a $100 gift certificate.

Door to Door is super easy to use.  Just sign up online for what size of box you would like and if you would like all fruits or vegetables or a mix. You can also choose how often you want a delivery.  All produce is organically grown and much of it is local!

In addition to produce, Door to Door Organics is a full line grocery so you can literally do all of your shopping without leaving home.

For my order, I chose a medium mixed box. A few days before the order is to be sent you will receive an email as to what will be in the box and from there you can customize and swap out items to get exactly what you need. For instance my email said my box contained tomatoes and onion along with an array of other items. My sister has a garden and currently has an abundance of tomatoes and onions, so I decided to swap out those for a red pepper and zucchini. Also knowing there is an abundance of tomatoes and onions, I added some cilantro to my order so I can make some fresh salsa.

The box was filled with a beautiful mix of fruits and veggies. All though you can pick the day would like delivery, there is no need to be home. The groceries are packaged very neatly with cooling packs so everything stays fresh!

With the ingredients from my box and few from my pantry we have some great meals. I have made a fennel and orange salad, roasted beet salad and an amazing veggie stir-fry. We have roasted sweet potatoes as a side dish and snacked on fresh white peaches and crisp apples. Everything has been great and I still have a few things left to use to make more salads and side dishes and snacks.

Here is a list of all the ingredients in my box.
Beets
Broccoli
Sweet Potato
Valencia Oranges
Yellow Summer Squash
Cucumber
Fuji Apples
Garlic
Zucchini
Portabella Mushroom
Red Pepper
Sugar Snap Peas
White Peaches
Leaf Lettuce
Parsley
Cilantro

I am looking forward to my next email to what goodies await. I will then being able to customize it using what I already have in my pantry to make a week or more worth of meals! I purchase mostly organic ingredients and shop at Costco, Hy-Vee, Natures Pantry and Whole Foods. By the time I spend gas and time going to all these places, Door to Door Organics has saved me time and money!  I wish I would have started this sooner!

In addition to the awesome produce and products Door to Door Organics offers, the website is full of recipes and easy ways to plan meals for the week. They will also do the cooking for you if you like. Door to Door Organics will be carrying a rotating weekly assortment of meals, all of which serve 3-4 people, including four main dishes, four side dishes and snacks such as kale chips and hummus and a dessert. Customers can order their prepared meals in the same way they order their fresh organic produce and natural and organic grocery items
