Celebrating 90 delicious years with the Hen House Culinary Celebration

Taking on a more culinary focus, Hen House presents their fifth annual “Celebration” November 2nd & 3rd at the Overland Park Convention Center, 6000 College Boulevard

Overland Park, KS. 2013 –  Packed with great culinary tips and tastings, the Hen House Culinary Celebration is a “Foodies” dream.  Along with over 70 food displays with tastings, samples and recipes, guests will be entertained by reality stars, Kathy and Rich Wakile, from the popular BRAVO series, Real Housewives of New Jersey, along with retro darlings and best selling authors, the Casserole Queens.

On Saturday, November 2nd, the Casserole Queens are back to cook up an age old favorite, the classic casserole.  They will prepare great recipes from their newest cookbook, The Casserole Queens Make-A-Meal, which will be available for sale and autograph.

Sunday, November 3rd brings a dose of reality with Real Housewives of New Jersey stars, Kathy and Rich Wakile.  Kathy will be whipping up some of her famous cannolis with our local cannoli expert, Jasper Mirabile.  She and Rich will then hold a meet and greet with guests.

Throughout the weekend, chefs will be on stage demonstrating delicious new recipes, including many local favorites from area restaurants, who will be showcasing how to create their signature dishes.

Harvesters will receive the food on display after the event closes.  Last year, Hen House and their supplier partners donated over 18,000 lbs. of food that went immediately into the hands of Kansas City families in need.

The Hen House Culinary Celebration is open to the public and single day admission tickets can be purchased in advance at all eleven Hen House locations for $5 or at the event for $10. Children 12 and under are free.

Admission is free on Sunday, when you bring an unwrapped toy for Toys For Tots.
