Be In A Zombie Movie Filming Friday Night
at SPIN! Neapolitan Pizza
Be in a zombie movie filming Friday night at SPIN! Neapolitan Pizza in Lee’s Summit! The horror flick “Dough of the Dead” is looking for volunteers of all ages and races to serve as extras in crowd scenes to be filmed at SPIN! from 11 p.m. until no later than 2 a.m. Friday, Oct. 26.
The film tells the story of a pizzeria where, for an unknown reason, customers begin turning into zombies. Two pizza makers must try to save the day – and win the girl.
Many of the characters in the film are based on actual SPIN! employees and several SPIN! staff members are acting in the movie. In addition, 70 SPIN! customers have already signed up to be part of the crowd scene.
“Dough of the Dead” combines pizza, comedy and horror – all of which movie writer and director Brandon Prewitt knows well. Prewitt has worked at SPIN! for four years and is making the zombie movie as part of his graduation project for his Master’s Degree in Mass Communications at the University of Central Missouri.
Anyone interested in serving as an extra in the busy restaurant scenes that will be filmed beginning at 11 p.m. Fri. Oct. 26 at SPIN!’s Lee’s Summit location, 1808 Northwest Chipman Road, can sign up at http://www.doughofthedead.com/casting-calls.
